Perhaps while Tonks was romancing Lupin she might've quilled several love letters to her man like this...
"Anna Friel writes love letters to boyfriend David Thewlis to let him know how much she's missing him.
The British actress - who has won critical acclaim in the US with her new TV drama Pushing Daisies - is currently living in Los Angeles with the couple's two-year-old daughter, Gracie, while Harry Potter star David stays in Britain, and Anna is determined to keep the romance alive."

The news just keeps on coming. Since "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" is so freakin' long the powers-that-be have decided, for creative purpose (ahem) to cut the upcoming (in 2010) film in two. The thing is so huge, there's no way the book can be served properly with one movie. All the other books had plenty of fluff to cut out, while fans mourn the loss of some of that fluff, but with book 7 - it's solid action through and through.
"I think it's the only way you can do it without cutting out a huge portion of the book," Dan Radcliffe told the LA Times during a break in the filming of "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. "There have been compartmentalized subplots in the other books that have made them easier to cut -- although those cuts were still to the horror of some fans -- but the seventh book doesn't really have any subplots. It's one driving, pounding story from the word go."
The movies will be entitled "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1" to be released Nov. 2010 and "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2" to be released May 2011.
The Times also reported: "I swear to you it was born out of purely creative reasons," Heyman said during an interview in a converted airplane factory outside London that has been home base to all of the "Potter" productions. "Unlike every other book, you cannot remove elements of this book. You can remove scenes of Ron playing quidditch from the fifth book, and you can remove Hermione and S.P.E.W. [Society for the Promotion of Elfish Welfare] and those subplots . . . but with the seventh, that can't be done."

Readers have left 3 comments. Love the bit about how the split is only for creative reasons. ![]() Posted 2008-03-14 17:04:13 Yeah it couldn't possibly have anything to do with the fact that two films means twice the ticket sales. Posted 2008-03-15 21:51:00 I think it's funny that they say that the other books had plenty of fluff to cut out. As if DH was completely fluff-free. Posted 2008-03-15 21:55:32 |

Speaking of David Thewlis... this story popped up in my search and I thought it really sweet and romantic. In today's insane, virtual world just the act of writing a letter to someone, posting it and waiting a week or so before you ever hear back is probably unheard of to most younger people these days.
