Speaking of David Thewlis... this story popped up in my search and I thought it really sweet and romantic. In today's insane, virtual world just the act of writing a letter to someone, posting it and waiting a week or so before you ever hear back is probably unheard of to most younger people these days.

Perhaps while Tonks was romancing Lupin she might've quilled several love letters to her man like this...

Tilda Swinton, the actress you might or might not know as the evil White Witch in the Chronicles of Narnia movies, has let the world know that if she's ever asked to be in a Harry Potter movie, which no one has ever done, she would have to politely decline.

Straight from her mouth:

"I'm loath to say anything good about going to boarding school, which is one of the reasons why I'm not a believer in Harry Potter. Because I believe it fetishizes boarding school for children."

Hmmm...well, for starters, I've never really understood people when they say that they don't "believe" in Harry Potter because it kind of exists, so don't you kind of have to believe?...

Anyway...I do have to admit that I like how the Hogwarts boarding school is portrayed in the Harry Potter books. It seems like a fun, scary, and cool place to be to me, although I have always had a soft spot for boarding schools - don't know why though, I had a good time growing up in my home, but anyway moving on!

The other thing that confuzzles me is if boarding schools are shown as good things, then what's so bad about "fetishizing" them, Tilda?...

If she was she'd have to be something evil though. Can't think of a character off the top of my head just yet...

I did enjoy her in narnia, but she sounds awfully snobbish about the whole boarding school thing. I personally don't think that they're always that bad. I know some who had wonderful experiences. Maybe she went to a bad school when she was younger. Or maybe she truly is the White Witch.
