This is just freaky. Scary. Haunting. Not quite parody, but still... For the launch of the Globe Theatre's Education's winter season, The Young & Shakespeare worked with Metropolitan Police artist Cathy Charsley to come up with an image of what William Shakespeare might have looked like at age 14.
"I spent quite a lot of time studying the Droeshout engraving of Shakespeare that is so well known and also the 'Chandos' portrait," said Cathy, in an article that appears online in London se11.
"I have been trained in age progression for my job, so I worked in reverse, deciding how the face would be different if aged 14, and what features were important, Young Will is my personal interpretation, based on my knowledge of faces and how they change."
