The book follows the adventures of Hairy, "an ordinary boy -- until he is rescued by a biker, gets a glass bong, rides the magic bus, lives in a Cannabis Castle, attends Hempwards School of Herbcraft and Weedery, learns to play Qannabi, does battle with an evil policeman, and smokes tons of fine marijuana.  Of course, there's a full cast of characters such as "Master Head Alwaze Duinthadope, Professor Moruvva McGanjagal, and Professor Vacuous Vape."But no Harry Potter parody could be complete without a villain and hence here we have "What-his-face," aka "'Officer Pasdepot.' (He pronounced the name with a silent 's', as if the first three letters were 'paw.')" who killed Hairy's parents Mary-Jane and Jay Pothead. Then, of course, we have Hairy's buds Gonal Weedly, the twins Fried and Gaje and, of course, Herbonme Stranger. But school daze are never complete without the bogarting bullies such as Finke and Narco. Ahem. Cannabis Culture will publish the book, which will feature a dozen colorful graphics, probably penned while potted. So says they, "Hairy Pothead is a hilarious and subversive parody which will be enjoyed by anyone who gets a kick out of cannabis." Or simply loves a good Harry Potter take-off, in which this one really goes way out there... I wonder if it's printed on hemp paper? One might ponder if J.K. Rowling would rather see such a thing go up in smoke or appreciate the fact that her books could be read in so many different ways. I'm not making this up. A company that sells marijuana seeds by mail-order has devised a plan to promote their potted plants. On Oct. 20 a new book titled "Hairy Pothead & The Marijuana Stone" penned by Marc Emery and Dana Larsen, marijuana advocates living in Vancouver, B.C.
