Michael Gambon, who portrays Dumbledore in the Harry Potter movies (with the exception of the first Harry Potter movie, "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" - Dumbledore was protrayed by the late Richard Harris), is having a riotous good time with the revelation that his character was gay. Daniel Radcliffe, in a recent television interview on the Parkinson show in the UK said, "Well, he's been camping it up around the set like nobody's business. There was a scene when Michael had to come in and tell someone how much he loved knitting patterns. He just adored saying that."

Gambon Getting Campy Wid It

Saturday Night Live announced on "Weekend Update" that Dumbledore has hogwarts. That's all there was. It was kinda funny. Yet that wasn't enough. After the commercial break SNL featured a fake interview between Larry King and J.K. Rowling.

Fake JKR: "There were scenes in the movie that were cut that if left in would show Dumbledore is gay." 

Scene featuring fake Dumbledore and fake McGonagal. These are just Dumbledore's words because I couldn't type fast enough to include Minerva's.

"I just received an owl from he who should not be named. Not Voldemort, Jerry, my X, Jerry Shanks. It was a bootie owl."

Haha (not really). Then fake Minerva says, "Do you want me to brush your beard?"

Ugh.

Fake Larry King says, "Fat hairy guys call themselves bears. I'd go with magic polar bear," in coming up with a name for gay wizard hairy Dumbledore.

Dumbledore is standing by a mirror contemplating his physique. "Why don't they make an invisibility cloak for stomach pooches. I saw Jerry. He was at the gay bar in Hogsmeade - the Man Hole," he says while fake Minerva consoles him. He thens says to her, "If only you had a penis and balls."

Haha. 

Back to the fake interview with JKR. Fake JKR says, "I would admit that wasn't my best writing. I'm not that familiar with the gay scene."

Switch to a scene of a gay bar in Hogsmeade - Minerva is there checking up on Dumbledore. There's lots of leather-clad fellas dancing and sitting at the bar. Dumbedore is looking around the room and says to Minerva, "Check out that juicy porkchop."

Oy. 

Back to the fake interview where the fake Larry King says, "All wizards are gay."

The fake JKR answers, "Larry, there aren't really wizards."

There aren't really good writers on SNL anymore, either. Maybe the strike will help...

Unfortunately, what could've been hysterically funny was not even close. I'd put up a video... but it's probably not worth it.
